What each inventor gets

Recognition they’ll actually share.

A plaque says a patent was granted. A film shows what the inventor made, in their own patent’s drawings, with their name on it.

01

A film of their own patent

A short film made from the inventor’s real patent drawings, with their name on screen. It explains what they invented in plain English, so the people around them finally see it.

02

A private share link

Each film lives on a private, unlisted page the inventor can send to family, friends and colleagues, and download to keep.

03

An optional QR plaque

For the shelf or the patent wall: a plaque with a QR code that opens the film. Ask about it when you request a pilot.

How it works

Every Tuesday, new inventors to celebrate.

10

Weekly grant alerts

The USPTO issues patents every Tuesday. That day we check which of your company’s patents were granted and send your program contact the list.

20

Prepaid film credits

You buy a block of credits up front. You choose which grants get films, and each film uses one credit.

30

Your brand on every film

Your logo and program name open and close each film, in one consistent format your inventors will recognize.

40

You approve the script

Before production you see each script and can correct or approve it. Then we make the film and send the link.

Older patents count too

The inventor from 2009 deserves a premiere as well.

New grants are the natural moment, but recognition doesn’t expire. Include long-serving inventors whose patents were never celebrated, a milestone patent for an anniversary, or every inventor honored at this year’s awards dinner. If the patent was granted, we can film it.

Pilot offer

Start with about 25 films.

Pick around 25 inventors: this quarter’s grants, a team you want to honor, or a mix of new and older patents. We set up your branding once, send you every script to approve, and deliver each film on its own private link. Then you see how your inventors respond before you decide on an annual program.

  • About 25 films, new or older patents
  • Company-branded opening and closing
  • Script approval on every film
  • Pricing on request

Questions from IP and HR teams

Privacy, accuracy and procurement.

How do you handle privacy?

Granted patents are public records. We build each film from the published patent and anything you choose to send us; we don’t need or ask for confidential documents. Films live on private, unlisted pages that search engines don’t index, and we never publish a film or use it in our marketing without permission. We use the contacts you give us only to run your program.

Who checks the films for accuracy?

People do. Our AI-assisted studio drafts each script and film from the patent’s own text, claims and drawings, and people who have spent their careers writing patents review it against the document. You approve every script before production, and nothing the patent doesn’t describe goes into a film.

How long does a film take?

A finished film usually follows about a week after you approve its script. For the pilot we agree the schedule with you up front, including any batch of older patents.

How do procurement and invoicing work?

Programs are bought as prepaid film credits on an invoice, and we’ll work through your supplier onboarding and purchase-order process. Pricing depends on volume and options, so it’s on request: ask for a pilot and we’ll send a quote. Films are sold by Frictionless IP, Inc..

Can we include patents granted years ago?

Yes. Older patents count too. Many companies start with this year’s grants and add long-serving inventors whose patents were never celebrated, or patents being honored at an anniversary or awards event.

What about co-inventors?

Every inventor named on the patent is credited in the film, and each of them can share it with their own family and colleagues.

Is this about what the patent is worth?

No. The program celebrates the people behind an invention. Films explain what a patent describes in plain English; they aren’t legal opinions or valuations.

Is PatentFilm part of ipCapital Group’s consulting?

No. PatentFilm is a separate business, created by John and Seth Cronin of ipCapital Group. A film program doesn’t involve ipCapital consulting services, and the two are contracted separately.
